Keri Smolka Kelly has been an Assistant Attorney General with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, representing Howard County Department of Social Services Child Support, since 2021. Prior to Howard County, she served ten years as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Child Support Division of the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office. Keri was also an Assistant State's Attorney in the Juvenile Division of the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office and a CINA Attorney with the Legal Aid Bureau. During her thirteen years as a child support attorney, Keri has served on the Child Support Guidelines Advisory Committee, was a Board Member for the Maryland Joint Child Support Conference, is the proud co-recipient of the Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork Award in 2022 and was most recently awarded the 2024 Donna Shepherd Client-Centered Award. Keri received her Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America in 2003 and her Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University in 2000.
